'Monstro & Son (Necessity)'

Without going into too much detail, the thinking behind this piece was that a great deal of the time, serious choices and changes in our lives are only made when necessity forces our hand... I think I'd been reading 'A Confederacy Of Dunces' again when I started to think about this one.

The border is a digital print onto layers of old news paper, stained with ink and water.

The central figure is a mix of acrylic, watercolour marker pen and aerosol.

Another reflection on cities, this falls in with the 'City Relic'
t-shirt design I did for ArtsProjekts.

The black outline work was roughly printed onto an old paint texture on canvas that I had lying around. Colours were then filled with acrylic, and the linework reprinted over the top.

The sun and text were made which aerosol paint and stencils.
