I just finished hand colouring the ink linework for my print ‘Captain Corpse’ that I did a few weeks back. If anyone fancies owning this strictly limited edition of one piece, head on over to my store where you can pick it up nice and cheap. It’s A3 (420mm x 297mm), ink and gouache on 250gsm bristol board, signed by yours truly.

Next week sees the release of ‘Tales From The Barrelhouse’, the new album by Mercury Music Prize nominated artist Seth Lakeman, which I designed the packaging for.

Seth was interviewed about the record on BBC Breakfast a couple of days ago, and switching on my TV somewhat bleary-eyed, I was pleasantly surprised to see my cover art on the big screen in the background.

The artwork was a fairly straightforward design job, made easier by the fact that I was supplied with some beautiful photos by Tim Young, of Seth in the old barrelhouse in Devon where the album was recorded (with the exception of one track which was recorded down an old copper mine), so I was mostly focused on typography, colour and consistency… Which hopefully I got right!

The CD comes in a super nice triple gatefold card pack, and I’m very pleased with how the print job turned out.
